Take a Stroll Through Hazelbank Park & Coronation Garden

King Charles III and Queen Camilla opened the majestic Coronation Garden at Hazelbank Park, Newtownabbey, on Wednesday 24 May 2023. This is a great addition to the northern irish landscape, which will surely attract a number of visitors. With a musical performance of dancing topiary and spinning conical trees, this new garden feature will surely be a hit amongst kids and families. The centrepiece, a turquoise viewing balcony with intricate details on the railings, is a showstopper, surrounded by carefully selected vibrant plants and flowers that avid gardeners and casual globetrotters will appreciate.

Hazelbank Park, situated on the shores of Belfast Lough, is the remnants of an estate house with fantastic views over the Lough to Co. Down. You can go for a nice stroll along the promenade, where you can enjoy some breathtaking views. From here, you are able to see the famous Harland & Wolff cranes. This park is popular amongst the locals, dog-owners and cyclists.

There is no fee to get into the park and the new garden. There is also ample parking space within the vicinity. Definitely worth visiting this new whimsical space that will give you Disneyland feels!
